It’s been a double Apprentice celebration week for us at Stirling Electrical Services. Apprentices have always been at the forefront of our business development and while we do not employ apprentices every year we will always have at least one ongoing apprentice. This week I received the fantastic news that our 4th year apprentice Craig had passed his electrical trade exam and then at the other end of the spectrum we welcomed our new apprentice Shaun to our team. After four hard working years and a two day trade exam I was pleased with Craig’s success and equally delighted to offer him an electrician position as we look forward to many more successful years together. Shaun joins us at the end of a summer long apprenticeship application process where I was blown away with the high calibre of applicants we received especially those that made it to the interview stage. At the latter stages of the application process I wished I could have offered more than one apprenticeship position this year and publicly, like I have already done personally, I would like to thank all the applicants and wish them every success for the future - Shaun will begin his electrical apprenticeship later this month and our team look forward to working alongside him and wish him much success. I’ve blogged many times about the benefits of an electrical apprenticeship and anyone interested should first contact the Scottish electrical training body SECTT and also consider undertaking a pre-apprenticeship course at a local college.
