It's not only electrical services we provide but also audio visual, security alarms, cctv and access control.
23/3/2016 Electrical Work on Isle of SkyeOne of our customers asked us to attend an electrical job on Isle of Skye as a last minute request so I wasn't going to turn down the chance to get out and about and away from the office for a day to take in our wonderful Scottish scenery.
Enjoy the photos of Eileen Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye. 20/3/2016 Congratulations Eddie IzzardComedian Eddie Izzard has completed his amazing challenge in South Africa to run 27 marathons in 27 days for Sport Relief. I'm running my first marathon in May and yesterday I completed my first ever half-marathon distance through the streets of Stirling. I've got blisters where I didn't think I could get blisters and lets not talk about how I look while walking today so how Eddie has managed to do 27 marathons which included 2 today on his last day is just remarkable and and achievement that I dip my hat to. 16/3/2016 Pool Team SponsorIn Fallin this evening to handover the new team shirts for Bannockburn Pool League team which Stirling Electrical Services and Stirling Alarms have sponsored.
Good luck to them in their upcoming pool tournaments. More photos on Stirling Electrical Services blog page... 14/3/2016 Visit of Bruce Crawford MSPI was delighted and honoured to welcome Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford to our office in Fallin for our Stirling Alarms NSI Accreditation presentation.

During my 2013 Charity Challenge I first ran this race and today I'm pleased that my time of 46 minutes 54 seconds was nearly 5 minutes quicker than three years ago. The marathon takes place in Edinburgh and I have a main fundraising page for the marathon supporting Cancer Research in which donations and support would be greatly appreciated. 11/3/2016 Stirling Street Rename RejectedA few weeks back I posted about a proposal to rename a historic street in Stirling to Queen Elizabeth Road ahead of the Queen's 90th birthday.
The proposal certainly got a debate going and was largely met with local opposition and just recently the proposal was rejected at a full Stirling Council meeting - see local newspaper story. 10/3/2016 A Proud Business MomentIt was a momentous day for the security system division of Stirling Electrical Services on Thursday 10th March when I travelled south to Birmingham to receive on behalf of Stirling Alarms our NSI accreditation medal and certificate. In February 2016 our new Stirling Alarms service was awarded approval in the Design, Installation and Maintenance of Electronic Security Systems including Access Control, CCTV Systems and Intruder Alarms by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) who are the leading approvals and certification body that inspects UK companies providing home security, business security and fire safety services. It was a proud moment for me and for all involved when we received our NSI medal and certificate from Chief Executive Richard Jenkins, in this our 20th year in business. Click for more photographs of our presentation. To witness the Northern Lights from Stirling on Sunday evening was a rare and spectacular experience.
Only occasionally do we get to witness the Aurora Borealis in Central Scotland and Sunday's display was worth the wait. Over on the Facebook page of my Stirling Weather service people have been sharing their photographs of the display with our 6500 viewers plus 3000 more on twitter. View the photos on Stirling Weathers Facebook page. I took part in the 10K Resolution Run on Sunday in Edinburgh with a respectable time of 47mins 51 seconds. The charity fundraising event is for the Stroke Association with a couple of hundred runners taking part in either the 5K or 10K races. The Resolution Run series is a number of events held throughout the UK with the Edinburgh event taking place in the outskirts of the city at the scenic foreshore in Crammond. In a few months I will take part in my first marathon which also takes place in Edinburgh. A donation was made to the Stroke Association charity with my main fundraising page for the marathon supporting Cancer Research in which donations and support would be greatly appreciated. 4/3/2016 Electrical Trade ShowKeeping up-to date with the latest news and products is obviously vital in our electrical industry and that's why I made the journey south to Manchester this week to the latest ElexShow
I attended this event last year in the same city and found it a worthwhile investment in my time especially learning and discussing the latest guidance from the electrical industry experts during the seminar events which I can take back and update our electricians. My hotel was just a few hundred yards from Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium which was handy for an evening stroll. 1/3/2016 If you use Facebook like I do for many of my business and community activities why not use the power of social media to connect and have a conversation. My new Facebook page is now live and starting to increase its profile. If Twitter is your thing then I'm also on that and you can follow me on @ScottLMcLean |
