- Scott was the founder of Stirling Electrical Services Ltd. who are one of Stirling’s leading reactive and preventive electrical companies. The electrical company was established in 1996 and for nearly 30 years has been carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing work throughout Scotland. In 2023 Scott sold Stirling Electrical Services to Connelly Group Holdings.
- In 2015 Scott formed the company Stirling Alarms which was the security system division for Stirling Electrical Services and has achieved UK national accreditation status under the leading security system auditing company NSI. In 2023 Scott sold Stirling Alarms to Connelly Group Holdings.
- In 2009 Scott formed Stirling Weather which now has an audience of tens of thousands across the local area and worldwide as it provides real-time and historical weather information for Stirling.
- A keen runner Scott can be seen running the streets of Stirling on a nearly daily basis and has raised thousands of pounds over the past 10 years running various events including 9 marathons and a 58 mile ultra marathon for charity.
- Scott was also a partner in Saturn Taxis, one of Stirling’s largest taxi companies. The business was sold in 2023.
- A lifelong Stirling Albion supporter who up until recently dedicated 35 years of voluntary work for the club, which also included a spell as youth and reserve team player.
