After record breaking temperatures in Stirling over the new year it will be much colder this week as the mild temperatures give way to overnight frosts and daytime highs of between 3ºC to 7ºC. Lows could drop to -4ºC midweek when it will be mostly clear skies with sunny intervals during the day.
A band of wet weather is set to move into the area during Thursday which could bring some wintry weather at times especially to more rural and higher areas of the district. It will remain mostly cloudy on Friday and Saturday with some more showers. The weekend could end on a drier note on Sunday. Breezy at times midweek which will lower the windchill.
