On this day 10 years ago Stirling was battered by wind speeds reaching hurricane category 1 force.
Wind speeds peaked at 74.3mph in the city area on Tuesday 03 January 2012.
The storm was most prominent in Central Scotland and at the time was judged the worst storm for 13 years.
Wind speeds in Stirling increased around 6am in the morning and the worst of the storm was over by early afternoon with wind speeds peaking between 8am-10am when we recorded our record breaking wind gust of 74.3mph at 8:31am.
The storm caused structural damage to many homes and business properties in the Stirling area.
