Our previous high temperature was 29.0ºC in July 2013. The highest all time recorded temperature in Scotland is 32.9ºC set in the Scottish Borders in 2003. Always make sure your fire and safety detection is adequate and working.
For domestic premises we would recommend installing smoke and heat alarms from manufacturers such as AICO or Fireangel. Fire detection devices should be installed as a minimum in hallways/landings(smoke), kitchen(heat) and daytime areas(smoke)(eg living rooms). These devices should all interlink meaning when one device sounds the rest sound and ideally all alarms be mains operated and must have a battery back up. Carbon Monoxide alarms should be fitted in every room that contains a solid fuel burning appliance. eg boiler, open fire, gas cooker. More information on Carbon Monoxide detection rules. https://www.fireangel.co.uk/…/carbon-monoxide-regulations-i… https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-44563900# 18/6/2018 Loch Katrine - Eco CampCongratulations Loch Katrine on the official opening of the new Eco Camp.
